League Table - Anglo Welsh

Each team shall play every other team in their pool either home or away. Every team shall also play one additional fixture, a ‘Derby Day’ game, against a club from outside of their pool. The points from these fixtures shall also count towards pool table results. The winners of each pool shall progress to the semi-finals, along with the highest placed runner up of the three pools.

The criteria for determining the rankings of the teams within the pools shall be as follows:

  1. Greatest league points;
  2. Most wins;
  3. Greatest points difference;
  4. Greatest points for;
  5. Most tries;
  6. Disciplinary record (red cards);
  7. Higher match points from the match between the two Clubs (that is equal on all other measure above);
  8. Determined by draw

The criteria for seeding the four semi-finalists shall be as follows:

  1. Greatest league points;
  2. Most wins;
  3. Greatest points difference;
  4. Greatest points for;
  5. Most tries;
  6. Disciplinary record (red cards);
  7. Determined by draw

Semi-finals and Final

In the semi-finals stage, the team seeded 1 will play the team seeded 4 (this will always be the team that qualified as the highest ranked pool runner up) at the home ground of the former. The team seeded 2 will play the team seeded 3 at the home ground of the former. The winners of each of these fixtures will progress to the final. The final will be held at the home ground of the finalist team which finished with the highest seeding in the pool stages.

In the semi-finals and the Final, if after 40 minutes of play each wat the scores are level, there shall be a five-minute break (where the teams and players shall remain on the pitch) and then a period of extra time shall begin between the teams of ten minutes each way, with a one-minute interval. If the scores remain equal after this period of extra-time then the winner will be the team which has scored the most tries in the game (including extra-time). If the scores are level and the number of tries scored is equal, then there shall be a place kick competition.
