Land Rover is the Official Vehicle Partner of Premiership Rugby; a partnership that stretches back to 2002.
Land Rover has a proud heritage in helping people discover rugby at all levels in the UK; from grassroots to the elite. Understanding and sharing the core values that run through the sport is at the heart of Land Rover’s commitment to rugby. As the rugby community navigates its journey across uncertain terrain, Land Rover uses its partnerships to celebrate these values and help bring fans closer to the sport they love, to ensure that people never stop discovering rugby.
Land Rover’s support of grassroots is typified through the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup; a national series of U11 and U12 rugby festivals run in conjunction with all twelve Premiership Rugby clubs. Since the tournament’s inception in 2008, Land Rover has helped more than 100,000 youngsters discover rugby. Vital in fostering the values at the heart of the game, the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup is a key part of the grassroots rugby calendar each season.
Land Rover recognises the importance of helping people engage with the sport, now more than ever. To help deliver crucial work to aid the development of domestic rugby, Land Rover will continue to provide each of the 12 Premiership Rugby clubs’ community departments with a Land Rover Discovery vehicle ensuring that community rugby gets the support it needs.
Land Rover’s commitment within UK rugby is expressed through its renewed long-standing partnership with Premiership Rugby, complemented by ongoing partnerships with Cardiff Blues, Glasgow Warriors and English club side Bath Rugby. On a global level, Land Rover has been a partner of three Rugby World Cup tournaments, and this summer will see its seventh British & Irish Lions Tour. This global to local approach has helped the brand form a deep connection with the sport, teams, players and importantly its fans and the wider rugby community all over the world.
Since 1948 Land Rover has been manufacturing authentic 4x4s that represent true ‘breadth of capability’ across the model range. Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, Range Rover and Range Rover Evoque each define the world’s 4×4 sectors, with 80% of this model range exported to over 170 countries.
